Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the Fourth International Workshop on Nano Materials for Energy Storage and Conversion (NMEC-4), which will bring together leading researchers, industry partners, and emerging scientists to discuss recent progress and future directions in advanced nanomaterials for high-performance energy storage and conversion technologies. You are cordially invited to join NMEC-4, which will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, October 12-13, 2026.

Following the success of NMEC-1 (2012), NMEC-2 (2014), and NMEC-3 (2017), this workshop aims to strengthen the collaborations between Vietnamese and international colleagues, and, at the same time, to foster a number of concrete research collaborations. The workshop will be hosted by the University of Science, a member of Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City (VNUHCM-US). As a member of one of Vietnam’s two leading national university systems, VNUHCM-US is recognized for its excellence in both education and research. Among many research areas, developing sustainable and renewable energy is one of the most interesting areas for scientists from the Faculties of Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, and Environmental Science. We are focusing on both basic and applied research aspects of the related fields: energy conversion, materials science, catalytic chemistry, electrochemistry, nanochemistry, and environmental chemistry.

Vietnam is a dynamic country that offers a unique and rewarding experience for international researchers and educators. Ho Chi Minh City provides an ideal setting not only for stimulating scientific discussions but also for experiencing Vietnam’s rich history, vibrant culture, and renowned hospitality. The NMEC-4 Organizing Committee looks forward to welcoming you to Ho Chi Minh City in October 2026 for two days of inspiring scientific exchange, meaningful collaboration, and networking with colleagues from around the world.

Best regards,
NMEC-4 Organizing Committee
