Prof. Jun Liu is the Washington Research Foundation Innovation Chair in Clean Energy, Campbell Chair Professor of Materials Science and Engineering, and Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Washington. He is internationally recognized for his pioneering contributions to advanced energy-storage technologies, particularly next-generation battery systems. Dr. Liu also serves as a Battelle Fellow at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and directs the U.S. Department of Energy’s Battery500 Consortium, a major initiative aimed at developing ultra-high-energy-density batteries. With more than 450 scientific publications, over 60 U.S. patents, and numerous honors, including recognition as a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher, Dr. Liu has significantly influenced the fields of materials science, electrochemistry, and sustainable energy technologies.
