Assoc. Prof. Tran Dinh Phong is the Vice President of the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH). He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Université Paris-Sud (University Paris 11), France, in 2008 and earned his Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR) from Université Grenoble Alpes in 2016. His research focuses on electrochemical and photoelectrochemical catalysts for water splitting and CO₂ reduction, artificial leaf engineering, and electrolysis devices for sustainable energy conversion. His work also encompasses nanochemistry, catalysis, and materials for energy conversion and storage. Dr. Tran received the prestigious Ta Quang Buu Award in 2018 and the Golden Globe Award in 2016 in recognition of his outstanding scientific contributions.
