Prof. Chunsheng Wang is the Robert Franklin and Frances Riggs Wright Distinguished Chair Professor at the University of Maryland and a globally recognized leader in battery science and electrochemical energy storage. His research focuses on advanced battery materials, electrolytes, and interfacial chemistry for lithium-ion, lithium-metal, and solid-state batteries. By bridging fundamental electrochemistry with practical device engineering, Dr. Wang has developed innovative strategies to enhance battery energy density, safety, and cycle life. His influential publications, patents, and leadership in the energy-storage community have significantly advanced the development of next-generation batteries for transportation, grid storage, and sustainable energy applications.
