Prof. Mengyu Yan is a Professor in the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Wuhan University of Technology, China. His research focuses on advanced materials and operando characterization for electrochemical energy storage, with particular emphasis on lithium-ion batteries, sodium-ion batteries, solid-state batteries, and other next-generation energy-storage systems. His group combines advanced materials synthesis, in situ and operando techniques, and mechanistic studies to reveal electrochemical reaction processes and guide the design of high-performance electrode materials. Prior to joining Wuhan University of Technology as a professor, he was a Research Associate at the University of Washington. Prof. Yan has published extensively in leading journals and has made significant contributions to understanding electrochemical reaction mechanisms and developing advanced energy-storage materials.
